Event Description

Toronto Lodge invites you to join us for:

7:00 p.m.   Council of Solace

7:30 p.m.   Open Meeting

Topic: “The Neophyte and Service" - by Raymund Andrea.  Rosicrucian Heritage. September 2019 - Volume 26, No 2.

One of the reasons why the discipline of the Path has been called a “hard school” is because the ordinary motives for action have to be reversed and given more impersonal direction. As a neophyte,  you must think in terms of others as well as yourself. The neophyte must learn to serve because the [Inner] Master whom he or she aspires to know is perfected in service.

The steady and continuous effort to serve in any way that circumstances afford the least  opportunity, will teach us far more than any detailed study of the spiritual life. We have no idea of what we are capable until we rise confidently in the event of human need and compel the response of the soul’s innate power in meeting it. There is no room for the lukewarm neophyte on the Path. The demands of life have no room for this.

Both of these events are open to the public.

Members are asked to please bring active membership credentials.
