Hidden in Plain Sight - The Influence of Western Esoteric Movements on Modern Thought

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum will be hosting its annual Egyptian Epagomenal  Festival on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25. In ancient Egyptian mythology, the calendar included 360 days plus five additional epagomenal days.

These epagomenal days were days “out of time” when the goddesses Isis and Nephthys, and the gods Osiris, Seth and Horus were born. In honor of this ancient Egyptian belief, we celebrate a festival weekend at Rosicrucian Park. Activities include a variety of special lectures, tomb tours, workshops and children’s activities held throughout the museum and park.

Our outdoor booths are held all day on Saturday and Sunday, and include hands-on activities such as henna, crafts and even an ancient Egyptian "photo booth". Museum staff will be dressed in Egyptian costume, and we encourage guests to dress up and join in all of the fun!

Please contact our Programs Department at 408-947-3665 or email cdaly@egyptianmuseum.org for details.
