Planetarium

This building of Moorish design, which honors the Arabic astronomers who preserved ancient Greek astronomy in the Middle Ages, houses the Rosicrucian Planetarium-- the fifth planetarium constructed in the United States, and the first to house an American-built star projector. Today the planetarium uses a Spitz Model 512 star projector, which can project some 2,100 stars, planets, and other celestial phenomena, and has the capacity to shift the sky forward or backward in time 13,000 years. You will also find a Foucault Pendulum in the lobby of this building.Highlights
