Event Description

Meditation in Depth XVII: The Seeming Paradoxes of Meditation

Meditation is the key and central practice of spirituality and for the mastery of life. Much progress can be made when meditation is practiced daily. Meditation may seem like a paradox. For example, how can I help heal myself and others by just sitting there in stillness? How can meditation be an act of non-avoidance when we are not facing anything? Does meditation help us solve problems by not trying to solve them? By letting go of who I am, do I fully become myself? How does surrendering lead to the greatest strength and competence? These common, and not-so-common, questions and more will be discussed. Join Hugh McCague as we continue to explore how meditation makes for the most direct and sure wise counsel in our daily lives and increases our well-being and capacity for service.
