Event Description

Initiation in Ancient Egypt

Join Grand Master Julie Scott for an exploration of initiation in ancient Egypt and the enduring mystery surrounding its sacred rites. Although the exact nature of these ancient ceremonies remains unknown, surviving texts, symbols, and esoteric traditions offer intriguing clues into their purpose and practice. This presentation examines the perspectives of Rosicrucians H. Spencer Lewis, Ralph M. Lewis, and Max Guilmot; the accounts of ancient writers Apuleius and Iamblichus; and the insights of modern authors Elisabeth Haich and Jeremy Naydler. Through historical analysis and mystical interpretation, we will gain a deeper appreciation for the spiritual significance and enduring legacy of Egyptian initiation traditions.
