Event Description

Please join us for the Festival Of Light on Sunday, December 21, which is the day of the Winter Solstice. We will meet at our Parkrose Lodge location. The Festival begins at 1 pm. 

This event is open to all AMORC members, their family, and close friends of the Rosicrucian Order. Members, please bring your current membership credentials.

Since antiquity, Light has always been associated with the Divine. In a wider sense, it has come to symbolize knowledge and good, while darkness represents ignorance and evil. This is why an eternal fire burned in the temples of ancient Egypt and Greece. This fire, which was never allowed to go out under any circumstances, symbolized the divine Fire and divine Illumination. In our day, this symbolism is still found in one form or another in many religions of the world and in all mystical traditions. Our Order perpetuates it, especially by means of our various rituals.  

This Festival of Light links us to ancient traditions where the mystics of the past celebrated the greatest harmony that is found between human, natural, and universal cycles during this period.

There will be refreshments and socializing afterwards.
