Event Description

"A Mystical Symbol is a living symbol. The subjective mind speaks in symbols, symbols speak to the subjective mind. The proper use of symbols facilitates a cooperation between our two minds and enables us to attain a state of balance or harmonium." Edwin Watermeyer, M.A, FRC

Everyone is invited to join us for an informative, hands-on workshop dedicated to working with, and the understanding of, Symbols from a Rosicrucian perspective.

Symbolizing is the primary way in which humans relate themselves to the environment, by which they make order within self and non-self. Symbols assist us in understanding fundamental Natural and Cosmic Laws.

In this workshop, we will explore topics like: what are the elements of a symbol, the various classes of symbols, including natural and artificial symbols, objective, subjective and subconscious symbols, individual, collective and archetypical symbols. We will also explore the use of symbols as a tool for self-awareness, through harmonization with the unconscious aspects of ourselves. We will also discuss symbolic transformations through language, art, poetry, psychology, science, philosophy, and mysticism.

Participants will have the opportunity to create their own personal symbols employing as many elements and laws as can be understood. All art supplies for your creative and artistic expression will be provided.
