Hamilton Pronaos will host a discussion based on "Rigor Mortis" by Nicholas de Roerich, written in 1933 and published in the Rosicrucian Digest of April 1982 (digital page 10).

To broaden our consciousness, we must escape from rigor mortis of thought.

·      Is humanity ready morally to accept all the new inventions? (1933).

Human consciousness is so divided that advancement cannot be conceived. Workers of cultural institutions see their best tasks covered with darkness through derision, etc.  Evil should be regarded as imperfection; however, the guiding good is now in a defensive position.

·     The resulting decay of the darkness of rigor mortis of thought does not slumber. Darkness is apparent in the great as in the small. The fiery energy (agni) we are incarnated with dissipates in daily life and grows naturally, but when the process is subject to darkness, the fire leaves those who are unfit.

While everyone is free to choose his own destiny, soulless beings are harmful. These beings are pseudo men and are found in all aspects of life. The crumbs of meanness can creep into the tiniest of crevices, so the armour of spirit must be impenetrable. Light conquers Darkness.

Let us discuss this issue from a 21st century viewpoint. How do we become this Light?

The article will not be read at the discussion. Please contact us ontario@amorc.rosicrucian.org with your membership ID to be sent a PDF of the article (and if you wish to pre-register to be sent the Zoom link closer to the time).
