Event Description

Science on Meditation

Hamilton Pronaos invites all AMORC members to an online discussion on Science on Meditation on Sunday July 22nd at 5.30 p.m.

If you are attending, please look at this video in advance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feX5PfA7mrU. In this video, longtime Rosicrucian and Martinist, Hugh McCague, PhD, provides an overview of some recent scientific research on the benefits of the daily practice of meditation and notes how Rosicrucian laws and principles are involved and being demonstrated.

The discussion will follow along the same lines: In recent decades there has been a rapidly expanding amount of scientific research done on meditation and its effects on psychological and physical health. New scientific instruments and methods have helped with this expansion. Is meditation helpful in dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma? Does meditation help increase our information processing speed and improve working memory? Does meditation help us to have sounder sleep and become more energized and capable in handling challenging projects in our lives? Does meditation aid the healing process including through the heart, and the nervous and immune systems?

If you wish, you may certainly let us know in advance if you are attending by contacting ontario@amorc.rosicrucian.org with your membership ID.
