The Kabbalah is the mystical process of interpreting the Torah of the Hebrew scriptures. According to the Kabbalah, there are ten creative forces, called Sephirot, that rule the world and the universe. We influence these creative forces through intentions that manifest, as our subconscious affects the conscious and the physical world.

The Tree of Life is the primary mystical symbol of Kabbalah with the ten Sephirot arranged in 3 pillars, a divine model for the universe and man. There are 22 connections or paths of wisdom between the Sephirots. The Kabbalah is intertwined with the study of Tarot. The tarot is made up of 78 cards, 56 of which belong to the four suits of the Minor Arcana (minor life meanings). The number 4 is also symbolic. The remaining 22 cards are the Major Arcana which demonstrate the process of growing in Mastership, through the said creative forces. The goal of Rosicrucian students is to gain Mastery of Life.

The tarot cards can be used as a tool for concentration in order to understand the meaning the card has for us and to gain a perspective on the forces that surround us.

There are many different types of tarot decks, but all the basic meanings are the same. They are trying to predict current influences and future possibilities. We have free will individually and collectively, so the best way to predict the future is to create it. If we concentrate on the deck and manifest things, it comes from our own mind and not some outside force.

There are many other forms of interpretation as many people use the tarot for fortune telling. When attempting to change a vice to a virtue, we are using the cards for the purpose of spiritual alchemy to transform ourselves.
