Rosicrucians call the ‘greatest happiness’ Peace Profound. We believe that the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC can help you find the answers to life’s questions through the study of the metaphysical laws that govern the universe.
Concentration is the first step in Rosicrucian thought processes. In the Rosicrucian teachings, among other things, we practice the mystical application of concentration as applied to visualization. Visualization is part of the process of activating something that we want to bring into existence. Another way that Rosicrucians use concentration is to attune with and stimulate the psychic centres, (centres of energy and information), in our being. Psychic centers are centers of energy and information.
• In this event, we will conduct a concentration exercise using visualization and vowel sounds to develop awareness of and strengthen our seven major psychic centres.
We will discuss the Art of Concentration, the first step in the three-part Rosicrucian thought process consisting of concentration, contemplation, and meditation.
An immediate use for concentration is in the process of creative visualization, considering some image or idea that can be a stepping stone to further development, or to the threshold of a new kind of experience.
For more deliberate concentration, one must practice techniques that will likewise shut out all intrusions. Contemplation and meditation also depend on concentration as their first step. Contemplation and meditation are experiences on the threshold of a different state of consciousness revealing whole new horizons of thought.
Contemplation is the preparatory step before entering into meditation. Both contemplation and meditation depend on developing mental concentration. Meditation is the exercise that climaxes the student's efforts.
• The ultimate aim of this threefold practice is to connect with the Cosmic (Universal) forces to get a realization of Cosmic Consciousness.
