In this teleconference, James Bording will lead us in exploring the remarkable ecology and history of the Papyrus plant. This humble sedge played a vital role in the development of Egypt, helping to transform it into one of the world's most advanced civilizations. We will view some of the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum’s collection of ancient papyrus artifacts and learn how to make papyrus paper. We will also explore the mythological role of papyrus marshes in ancient Egyptian spirituality.
